Closed Connection

Postby sdrzm » Fri Jan 09, 2015 12:14 pm

Hi, I am a new user of DBeaver. I have a question. After connecting my Oracle db, if I don't use the program for a while, the connection is automatically closed by DBeaver. I have to reconnect my db and continue. But when I look at the idle_timeout value of my db, it is unlimited. There should be a setting inside DBeaver but I couldn't find it. Could someone help me?

Hello,

Most Oracle servers have some timeout for inactive connections.
Most likely connection was closed by server not by DBeaver. DBeaver itself doesn't have any limitations of that kind.

Hello,

on this topic - i can not disable the timeout in my case as i do not own the mysql-server. dbeaver acts very annoying as the timeout seem to be 30 seconds at most and dbeawer is not asking me one but two dialogboxes to reconnect and informs me with "ok" to be pressed that we successfully reconnected.. (wow)

at preferenced > confirmations seem to be no setting to just let him automatical reconnect without prompt and ok confirm.

is there something i missed?

Auto-reconnect dialog behavior will be fixed in 3.5.5.
