Today we use the database to perform the analysis of data and then continuously perform aggregate queries and then export to spreadsheets for pivot tables and histograms, you implement a feature like that even starting with basic functions, or perhaps using R for rendering graphs in order to have regression lines or calculation of quartiles and percentiles?

I'm afraid it is very unlikely that we'll implement these features in nearest versions.
It is quite complicated and requires much time for investigation and implementation. Currently we already have a huge stack of features awaiting for implementation. And I am the only programmer for most of tasks

Teoretically tolking I think it can be done in a separate plugin (similar to ERD drawer) but I don't think I'll start to implement it earlier than Autumn..
