I have just started using DBeaver 2.0.3 and am using it against Filemaker.

The sql selects work fine. It has difficulty in recognizing Tables and fields in the database.

I have tried a bunch of sql front ends. They either report the schema well but can not display the default varchar(1000000) fields or they can not report the schemas but can display a SQL results set and all the fields. DBeaver belongs to the later group.

I have tried "Query Tool www.qpoulose.com", "Database Browser ETL-tools.com", "SqlDbx www.SqlDbx.com", "AnySQL Maestro www.sqlmaestro.com"

I'd wish to fix this problem but I'm expiriencing some difficulties with seting up FileMaker DB to check this problem
Maybe it is because it is commercial software and I have to use limited trial version.
I'll try to it one more time a little bit later.

PS If you can provide some testing DB it'll be much faster

I discovered two major features of FileMaker. Make sure the ODBC driver version matches the Server version. The SQL parser in FileMaker is fragile. Keep the sql simple.

Also, rather than use the [] syntax to surround names with spaces, use double quotes instead "".

I forgot another detail. Stick with the 32 bit version of DBeaver for older versions of FileMaker. FileMaker 9 is only 32 bits for ODBC.
