Hello,

I think it is very possible, not too complex task.
But I see one problem here. All string columns are read in certain charset. Generally on DBeaver side all strings are in unicode and can be converted into bytes using system default charset.
On database side strings may be stored in a different charset.
So, unclear issue is how to represent strngs in hex mode. Most obvious solution is to add chaarset selector combo but maybe there is more convenient way..

Hi Serge,

I have the same problem in access from my apps.

The problem is that you are access to the String using .getBytes and you must be access using .toCharArray that is you could access using the contains data.

It is possible that in the older JDK 1.4 you need use your by hand implement in BootStraping class for convert to one to other charset.

I see the code to transform to HEX in Koder and work with char[] instead of byte[]

I need because some one save comp-3 or smallint into CHAR o VARCHAR like a blob.

Thanks

Hi Serge,

If you could put the data in hex form with the current default charset, this could as I need.

In case that I need editing or view the data in other charset I could change the charset by defaullt or system or I could made somethink in the LANG of the system.

I appreciated if you send this feature in a few time. I test and send to you the result.

Thanks in avance
