[DONE] Eclipse Juno DBeaver plugin

Postby Natalia » Thu Sep 27, 2012 2:02 pm

Hello,

I've seen already that you are working on DBeaver plugin for Eclispe Juno. When do you expect it to be ready? Could you provide a p2 update site with that plugin so it will be easy to install it using standard Eclipse 'Install new feature' mechanism? Also, would be great to have update site with nightly builds available even before the final release :)

Thanks,
Natalia

Hi Natalia,

We don't have strict timelines but I'd wish to release DBeaver 2.0 at the end of October or in November.
And this release will include working Eclipse plugin. Not sure p2 update site will be available at that moment but we have it in plans too.
Currently we don't have automatic build system so there are no nightly builds. But it is a good idea, I'll think about it.
Thanks :)

Do you want a continuous integration/autobuild machine? I could probably set one up on AWS pretty easily.

We have build machine (it is FreeBSD and I start it manually when new version released), but there is no any automatic build system (like hudson).
I believe we will need one in future, but not right now. I'm still fighting E4 pde builds and still thinking about the build environment.

Thanks!

Ok, let me know. I have done a lot of work on Jenkins machines recently so I think it would be pretty easy to set up.
