[DONE] Oracle DATE format question

Postby wsc0918 » Mon Aug 13, 2012 2:44 am

Dears:
I has setup date format as 'yyyy-MM-dd kk:mm:ss' in File-> Preferences-> Common-> Data Formats, and then I use grid view content to check data,
it always show as follow '2012-08-13 24:00:00'.
Does something wrong about my setting?
Thanks for your effort.

My environment as follow:
dbeaver version 1.6.2
Oracle 9i
WinXP 32 bit
jdk-1.6.x

you got it.
I use Oracle SQL Developer(3.0.04) and the date column value is '2012-08-10 09:44:25'.
But in dbeaver the value is '2012-08-10 24:00:00'.

I use the format string yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss and it works as I believe you want, with the 24 hour time.

HH is 0 to 23, kk is 1 to 24

That's weird. I'll take a look

I found something, in SQL editor and query data result as attachment sql_editor.png
sql_editor.png
sql_editor.png (1.66 KiB) Viewed 51586 times
.
But in grid editor is as attachment grid_editor.png
grid_editor.png
grid_editor.png (2.08 KiB) Viewed 51586 times
.
I hope this information is useful for tracing~

I just noticed that DATE types are not showing the time portion. I was using DBeaver 1.6.1 and it seemed to work correctly then. I had the format for DATE set to yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss.

I upgraded to 1.6.2 recently, and now the same format string always shows 00:00:00 for the time.

It seems to be a bug in DBeaver. Will be fixed in next version.

Thanks for report!
