Disable Parameters

Postby WingedPanther » Wed Apr 04, 2012 7:25 pm

I'm trying to run an Oracle DB creation script in DBeaver, and running into an issue: parameters.

The script does not have any parameters I want to fill in. It does have a number of triggers that use the :OLD and :NEW syntax to reference values as they are being changed. Is there a way to disable parameters and execute the script as plain SQL?

Hi!

Unfortunatelly at the moment DBeaver can't properly execute complex SQL scripts. By "complex" I mean scripts which create stored procedures, triggers, etc because such scripts may contain databse specific constructions which can't be recognized by universal SQL syntax parser.

Talking about this exact problem. We will add some configuration parameter which will disable custom SQL parameters. Also such parameters will be disabled if they occur inside BEGIN/END operators. This fix will be included in the next version.

Thanks for report!
