[DONE] Query manager log not persistent

Dear all,

under 'Preferences -> Database Configuration -> Query Manager' I can set the 'Days to store log'.
I thought that this meant that the content of the 'Query Manager' (i.e. all queries, scripts,... executed) were stored for the given amount of days and therefore persistent between DBeaver sessions.

What happens on my computer is that the Query Manager logs queries like it should, but when I close DBeaver and re-open it, the Query Manager is empty.
Do I misinterpret this feature? Where is the logfile for the Query Manager stored?

Thank you in advance for your help!
marty

I have to admit - log persistence is not actually working. This UI does nothing. Currently execution history is stored in memory only.

We have this feature in plans. But to provide full functionality (search, order, filter) of log management we need some embedded database inside of DBeaver. So this task is not so easy as it may look like.
Anyway, we'll do it in one of following versions. Probably, we can make some temporary solution (store log in plain file and disable search/filter functions).

Thanks!

It's really nice to know that this is already on the feature list for following versions!
Your proposed temporary solution also makes sense to me since it's better to only have a timestamped plain file than having the history just in memory.

Anyway: Great pice of software

Would be very useful to store query log to TXT files on a daily basis.
it's countless the occasions this have saved me the day.

+1000 to Query logging
