Entering the password - accdb password protected file

Postby DB-User » Thu Feb 04, 2016 1:05 am

Hello DBeaver's,

I'm running DBeaver 3.5.9 and Now I'm working with access *.accdb files.

My question is:
Where can I enter the password (if required) for accdb file?

It seems that UCanAccess driver supports user/password authentication.

Thanks in advance for any help you are able to provide.

PS. It would be very usefull to have a panel similar to this one (MDBViewer):

Hmm, I didn't know that UCanAccess supports authentication. Will return user/password back for it in the next version. Thanks for report.
For now you can go to driver editor and disable "Embedded" checkbox. Then restart DBeaver. Open connection editor and you will see user/password input fields.
Also, as far as I know, it is possible to pass name/password in connection URL (you can also edit it in driver editor)

Thank You for your reply.

My problem is that I have encrypted accdb file.
To open it i have to enter the password to decrypt this file.

From thread and UCanAccess documentation (http://ucanaccess.sourceforge.net/site.html -> tab "Getting Started" -> Driver Properties -> JackcessOpener) it seems to me that UCanAccess driver supports such authentication by using Jackcess Encrypt extension.

So is it possible that using (now or in the future) DBeaver I will be able to pass such password to decrypt accdb file?
