Cassandra short (smallint) datatype causes an exception

Postby Asisalhov » Thu Nov 19, 2015 2:44 pm

when i try to view a Cassandra table containing at least one smallint field, the data is not displayed, and i get this exception in a gui windows :

com.datastax.driver.core.exceptions.InvalidTypeException: InvalidTypeException: Value cpfGtpPort is of type 'org.apache.cassandra.db.marshal.ShortType'

Thanks !

Honestly I didn't find any valuable information about "smallint" data type support in Cassandra.
What Cassandra version do you have?

i'm using ver 2.2.2
as you can see here : http://docs.datastax.com/en/cql/3.3/cql ... pes_c.html
smallint is a 2 byte integer.
Thanks.

Java driver for Cassandra 2.x wasn't yet released. It is still RC (https://github.com/datastax/java-driver). Cassandra 3.x driver is alpha.
I'd prefer not to make dependencies with unstable driver versions. Let's wait until release and then I'll add support of all new data types.

Regards.
