Ctrl-Scroll to Scale SQL Editor Font Size

Postby lonniebiz » Thu Jun 11, 2015 5:43 am

I love DBeaver and have one feature request:

I wish that holding down the Ctrl-key while scrolling the mouse-wheel would scale the font-size of text in the SQL editor, easily making it larger or smaller based on your current eye strain. An example of this feature can be found in all modern web-browsers such as Firefox and Chrome.

Until such a feature can be implemented, please direct me to the setting that just generally increases the font-size of text in the editor. I can't seem to find that setting.

Thanks

DBeaver based on Eclipse framework, unfortunately this framework doesn't support (yet?) font size scaling with mouse wheel or shortcut.
You can change text editor font in preferences:

Do you know of any intentions from Eclipse to fundamentally provide this functionality to all of its editors?

If not, it seems possible to capture the control-scroll-up and control-scroll-down events and then (behind the scenes) increment or decrement font-size accordingly. That would be a efficiently awesome shortcut for Dbeaver.
