Looking for Template User Guide

Postby rrsolver » Tue Feb 03, 2015 6:30 pm

Hi all,

I recently stumbled across the template feature of DBeaver and was very pleasantly surprised!

I've since built in a whole bunch of shorthand for some long table names/ column names. (Which is awesome)

However, I've noticed that there seem to be some power features with the variable option. Is there a user guide on how to use this feature?

p.s.
I searched the forums and din't find anything and the FAQ isn't very helpful. http://dbeaver.jkiss.org/docs/

It is a standard Eclipse templates engine - .

DBeaver supports only 3 special variables: column, table and schema (I believe names are self explainable).

Hey Serge,

I've also noticed that there is a
${Year} - Current Year
Option which current returns 2015

Would it be possible to add
${Month} - Current Month
${Day} - Current Day
options such that the following ${Year}${Month}${Day}
(If it was) -> Output
Jan 1, 2011 -> 20110101
Feb 9, 2012 -> 20120209
Nov 13, 2012 -> 20121113
March 11, 2015 -> 20150311

Essentially 0# format.
